Oberwesel is a historical town with all the modern furnishings on the banks of the Rhine river. Along with the action packed activity program planned by IP’s International Team, you can also sign-up for special excursions such as the Camino de Santiago Special. After taking a bus or a different form of public transportation for about an hour, you will take the “Route de Napoléon“ from Saint Jean Pied-de-Port, which lies at the foot of the Pyrenees Mountains along the pilgrim walk to the Abbey at Ronces valles in Spain. After your arrival you’ll stay the night at one of the pilgrim hostels, and after a tour of the town head back to Biarritz the next morning.

While following in the footsteps of St. James you’ll see one of a kind views and great historical memorials. Not only that, but you’ll have the time to chat, ask questions, and practice your French with your peers and staff along for the excursion.  Don’t forget to bring your camera too! IP’s junior summer camp in Chichester is a great place to learn English and meet new friends, but it is also a great place to see what the exciting sport of cheerleading is all about. Whether you are a base, on top of the pyramid, leading the crowd, or calling the cheers; cheerleading is something everyone can enjoy.

In Chichester you’ll spend three hours a day, three days a week learning all the basics stunts and moves in cheerleading. Your professional coaches will teach you vocabulary, formation, and how to stay on beat while you do a coordinated dance with other students. At the end of the week you’ll be able to show off your hard work at the IP Farwell party.

In addition to learning some great dance moves and cheers, you’ll also have the chance to practice your English in a high energy, fun-filled environment. Cheerleading allows everyone to participate at the same time and is all about encouraging your fellow students on their moves and language skills too.

IP’s Young Adult Courses are designed for independent, mature-minded students. After language lessons, you have the freedom to go out and explore Biarritz or Bournemouth on your own. You’re not required to participate in an activity program; however IP does have Surf and Camino de Santiago specials available for students who are interested.  And not to worry, should you need anything, the IP staff is always available for any questions or concerns you may have.

In Bournemouth, students can sign up for five lessons of two hours each and get a feel for riding the waves. Of course, surfing is a learned sport with lots of technique and balance, so IP will provide the equipment and instructors to help you learn the rules of the waves. Surfing is a great experience. Paddling out, getting up on the board, and cruising through a wave, even if it’s only for a moment is a one of a kind experience. For the students who aren’t so keen on surfing, IP also offers a Mini-Olympics special in Teignmouth. How on earth can you prepare to compete in Olympic sports in just one week? Well, from Monday till Thursday afternoon you will be placed in Olympic style squad training in in boat sailing, windsurfing, kayaking or canoeing, and dinghy sailing taught by professional instructors. After four days (afternoons) of training, you will wake up Friday morning feeling the adrenaline for competition. IP’s language school in Barcelona takes place at the Barcelona International Sailing Centre (BISC). This fantastic, new center opened in 2012 and is located just a “hop, skip, and jump” away from the water. Not to mention it’s only a short trip from the center to the city with a metro station located just a short 10 minute walk away.

As far as accommodation goes, students have the opportunity to stay in IP’s BISC residence. Here, students will get to know tons of young people from around Europe, who also share a love for the Spanish language. IP’s centre in Bognor Regis is located on the English coast at the University of Chichester. The University of Chichester has a gorgeous campus with a great mix of different architectural styles.
