Learn to Speak Spanish

My introduction to a foreign language was during high school. In Southern California, I had the choice of Spanish, French, or German, and I chose Spanish. I then spent three years in daily Spanish courses and came out speaking very little Spanish. Why? My daily lessons were 45 minutes long and after each class I immediately started speaking English.  Looking back I wish I had taken the opportunity to learn Spanish abroad. It certainly would have helped for all the travelling I did after high school. Considering that Spanish is the second most natively spoken language in the world, an investment to learn to speak Spanish is a wise one.  So let me give you some tips to start off your Spanish journey on the right foot.

Intensive Spanish Classes

Oh, learning a language „intensively“. When I first considered doing this myself two thoughts came to mind; “intensive classes, that will look good on my resume, and man that could be a frightening amount of work to do”. Well, I chose to dive in, for better or for worse, and as it turns out it was one of the best experiences of my life.
