Spanish language programme for children and parents on Costa Blanca
Denia is a gorgeous place on the Spanish Mediterranean coast between Alicante and Valencia. The small city on the Costa Blanca has an inviting downtown where you may stroll around and marvel at the small shops and weekly markets. From this area, one has an amazing view of the old castle’s majesty, which has served as the birth of many museums. The 20 km long beach that is partially covered in shallow water and rocks is marked by the “Blue flag”, which attests to its high water quality. A real gem to remember that exciting family vacation spent learning a language Spanish first hand.
On the off–chance that anyone is bored, they are welcome to enjoy an expansive walk on the beach or participate in the athletic and cultural programs; such as hiking in the Berg Montgó, taking a city tour, or visiting one of the many museums. Likewise, the Mediterranean kitchen will see that your taste buds are properly taken care of. Among the many restaurants in Denia, you will also find lots of inexpensive and very tasty “Tapas” or restaurants. Passers–by often find the Cafes and bars to be irresistible, where you will find live music, and no one to talk you out of your extraordinary evening. With our family vacations to Spain you as well as your children may visit a language course in the mornings, and leave the rest of the day and evening to your imagination.
Our language school in Dénia
Our school is located in the center of downtown Denia, not far from the beach and harbor. It is a very small and homey language school, where each student’s needs are given personal attention. The school is very modern and friendly equipped with air conditioning in every classroom. Additionally, an internet room with 11 work places is available to you free of cost.
Our language courses are attended by students and their parents from all over the world. Maximum class size for children is 10. Maximum class size for parents is 8. All teachers are native speakers and qualified in teaching Spanish as a foreign language. Teaching material is provided.
You’ll take a placement test upon arrival, which determines your course level. At the end of the course, you’ll receive a certificate indicating your language level according to the Common European Framework of Reference.
Our Spanish school offers free time activities on a regular basis; some of them are already included in the price, others can be booked on arrival for an additional fee.
Please note that the school is closed and theres is no tuition on following bank holidays: 10th July and 16th August 2013.
Spanish Language courses for children
Lesson in school
Vacation Course Spanish for children aged 8-15: 10 lessons (x 45 mins) per week
Generally, classes begin at 9:30. The first two hours of Spanish are focused on improving vocabulary and grammar. Instruction is based off of activity through water sports. Your child will be constantly monitored by our Spanish supervisors while they embark on some light sailing. In this course it is very likely that local Spanish children will participate. The program ends at approximately 14:00.
The following levels are catered for: beginner (A0), advanced beginners (A1), lower intermediate (A2), intermediate (B1), upper intermediate (B2).
Playschool for children aged 6-10: 10 lessons (x 45 mins) per week
Generally, classes start at 9:30. They begin with 2 hours of Spanish, focused on improving grammar and vocabulary. Instruction is based on active programs, so that you children learn in a hands-on playful environment. Under the supervision of Spanish teachers your child will learn Spanish through games, cooking, and crafts. Your children will play with other children learning Spanish, as well as other native speaking children. The program ends at approximately 13:00.
The following levels are catered for: beginner (A0), advanced beginners (A1), lower intermediate (A2), intermediate (B1), upper intermediate (B2).
Spanish Language courses for parents
General Spanish Course: 20 lessons (x 45 mins) per week
This course covers speaking, listening, reading and writing. You will study in the mornings or afternoons depending on student numbers, your level and your personal preference.
The following language levels are catered for: beginners (A0), elementary (A1), lower intermediate (A2), intermediate (B1), upper intermediate (B2), and advanced (C1).
Start dates for complete beginners only: 08.07., 22.07., 05.08., 19.08.2013
Spanish & Culture: 25 lessons (x 45 mins) per week
This course combines the General Spanish course (see above) with an add-on of 5 additional lessons a week, where you’ll improve your knowledge of certain aspects of Spanish language and culture.
The following language levels are catered for: intermediate (B1), upper intermediate (B2), and advanced (C1).
Business Spanish Course: 25 lessons (x 45 mins) per week
This special course combines the General Spanish course (see above) with an add-on of 5 additional lessons covering economic subjects.
The following language levels are catered for: intermediate (B1), upper intermediate (B2), and advanced (C1).
Private 1:1 Lessons lessons: 10 or 20 lessons (x 45 mins) per week
The private lessons allow you more time with your teacher to focus on areas of Spanish in your specialised area. You may simply want to study more grammar in more detail with just your teacher’s attention. We can organise a private course around your needs. The following language levels are catered for: beginners (A0), elementary (A1), lower intermediate (A2), intermediate (B1), upper intermediate (B2), and advanced (C1, C2).

Accommodation and Meal Plan
Apartment: Our apartments are located approximately 2,5km from Dénia on the beach of Las Marinas. There is a small pool and the beach is only 100m away. Conveniently located, there is a direct bus stop for this area. From your apartment you will take the public transport and arrive directly in Dénia’s harbour, where you are only a 10 minute walk from the school. All apartments are tastefully built with a kitchen and a refrigerator. They are also air-conditioned.
Activity Programme
Tasting Spanish food
Your child participates in an educational and fun-filled language course in the mornings. Conveniently, your child’s language program ends at the same time as your course, leaving nothing to stop a wonderful family day. You can also take advantage of the daily programs the school has to offer. Our teachers would love to teach you to Salsa, or visit a castle, do some wine tasting, Tapas- dining, or play some Spanish card games. So many choices! (Additional cost; wine, Tapas, entrance). And of course our school staff is always available for tips and helpful suggestions.
Spanish language programme Denia - how to get there?
Airport transfers are not included in the price, but arrival and departure transfers can be provided as an additional service from/to Valencia or Alicante. On the day of arrival our Meet & Greet Service will be waiting for you at the exit area of customs and will take you directly to your course centre. On the day of departure, you will leave Dénia as required in order to make sure you arrive at the airport in time to check in.

General information
Our family language programs in Denia are suitable for children aged 6-10 and 8 -15. Accommodation can also be provided for additional family members, but at least one child and one parent have to attend a Spanish language course.
