in the Mediterranean paradise
There is no better place than Malta to combine a great summer family holiday with English lessons. The small island in the Mediterranean Sea is a paradise for diving, snorkelling and swimming. Besides the beautiful rocky coast, Malta also has several beaches. For both parents and children, the island offers many activities, so the whole family can enjoy their stay. Malta, and its neighbouring island Gozo, are also very attractive for those who are interested in culture - some of the oldest buildings of the world can be found here. Having been influenced by many different cultures, Malta in general offers an atmosphere worth experiencing.
Our school is located in St. Paul’s, a pleasant village in the north of the island. The next town, Bugibba, is only a short walk away and has a delightful promenade with lots of restaurants, cafés and shops. It’s the ideal destination for English language programmes, where both parents and children can spend a perfect holiday!
Parents and children will normally have lessons in the morning and spend the rest of the day together.
Our language school in St. Paul’s
Our school in Malta was founded in 1991 and is accredited by the Maltese Education Ministry. The school is open the whole year and is attended by pupils of all age and nationalities. Free time activities such as sightseeing, dinners, films, theatre and trips are offered regularly. Some of the activities are included in the price others can be booked on arrival at the school for an additional fee. The school is located in a quiet road and has 25 classrooms, some of them equipped with air-conditioning. A snack machine is also available. In exceptional cases the lessons in summer may take place in St.Paul’s school on the other side of the town.
The main focus of the English language programmes is on speaking, listening, reading and writing. Exercises for pronunciation, grammar and spelling complete the lessons. Our language courses are attended by students and their parents from all over the world and have been designed specifically for language learners who are visiting a foreign country for a short period. Maximum class size for children and parents is 10 (5 in the Business English Course for parents).
All our teachers are native speakers and qualified in teaching English as a foreign language. Teaching material is provided. You’ll take a placement test before your arrival through the internet, which determines your course level. The following levels are catered for:
Children: elementary (A1), lower intermediate (A2), intermediate (B1), upper intermediate (B2), advanced (C1)
Parents: elementary (A1), lower intermediate (A2), intermediate (B1), upper intermediate (B2), advanced (C1, C2), Business English Course: A2-C1
At the end of the course, you’ll receive a certificate indicating your language level according to the Common European Framework of Reference Levels.
Families travelling with young children are advised to book our Playschool service.
Available to children between 2 and 7 years of age, our Playschool offers parents the unique opportunity to undertake an English Course while their children are supervised by professionals.

Intensive English Course: 20 lessons (x 45 mins) per week
Lessons normally take place from Monday to Friday between 09:00 and 12:30. The four morning lessons focus on the main areas of language learning: grammar and language work, reading and listening, communicative activities and speaking practice. Our aim is to provide you with the vocabulary and grammar required for effective communication and particular attention is paid to improving speaking and listening skills.
Vacation Course English: 20 lessons (x 45 mins) per week
The Vacation English course includes the Intensive English Course plus an additional activity program in the afternoon. Half-day excursions and full-day excursions are also included. The following levels are catered for: elementary (A1), lower intermediate (A2), intermediate (B1), upper intermediate (B2), advanced (C1).
Primary Playground (for children aged 2-7):
Supervised activities in the mornings. This allows you take part in our language courses whilst your children will play with other children of their age and learn some English vocabulary in a playful way.
English Language courses for parents
General English Course: 20 lessons (x 45 mins) per week
Lessons generally take place from Monday to Friday between 09:00 and 12:30. The four morning lessons focus on the main areas of language learning: grammar and language work, reading and listening, communicative activities and speaking practice. Our aim is to provide you with the vocabulary and grammar required for effective communication and particular attention is also paid to improving speaking and listening skills.
Combo English Course: 30 lessons (x 45 mins) per week
You will follow the General English Course in addition to receiving 10 one-to-one private lessons.
Business English Course: 20 lessons (x 45 mins) per week
Lessons generally take place from Monday to Friday between 09:00 and 12:30. This course covers subjects of the business world such as presentations, meetings, negotiations, conferences, letters, skills, etc.
Private tuition: 20 lessons (x 45 mins) per week
Lessons generally take place in the morning. Lessons focus on the main areas of language learning: grammar and language work, reading and listening, communicative activities and speaking practice.
Accommodation and Meal Plan
Self-catering apartments: The apartments are located only 5 minutes away from the school. You and your family can stay in apartments with one, two, or three bedrooms each including a kitchen and bathroom. Please note that you always have to book an airport transfer on arrival, if you book this kind of accommodation!
Hotel Topaz:
This 3- star hotel is only a 5 minute walk from the school, including single room or double rooms with shower / WC. The rooms are equipped with air-conditioning, phone, radio, hair dryer, television and most rooms also have a balcony. Only few minutes away from the city center it is an ideal starting point for various activities. Also the sea can be reached in only ten minutes.
The hotel also offers a sauna, wellness opportunities, and internet access for a fee. The hotel also has a pool with sun benches and volleyball field as well. The hotel has plenty of dining options available including a restaurant, pizzeria, different bars, and an English pub. Breakfast is included and half-board accomadations can be booked separately.

English language programmes Malta - how to get there?
Airport transfers are not included in the price, but arrival and departure transfers can be provided as an additional service from/to Malta Valetta. On the day of arrival our Meet & Greet Service will be waiting for you at the exit area of customs and will take you directly to your course center. On the day of departure you will leave your accommodation as required to make sure you arrive at the airport in time to check in.
