For both, parents and children, Teignmouth is an ideal place for English programs: It’s a peaceful and secure seaside resort situated on the Devon coast, just a short bus ride from Torquay and the English Riviera. The charming harbour, winding streets and an award winning sandy beach complement an interesting variety of shops, cafés and restaurants to make Teignmouth both popular and attractive to visitors from all over the UK and abroad.
Your child or your children will participate in our junior summer course with lessons in the morning and activities in the afternoon. You attend an English language course for adults in the morning and you can either spend the rest of the day as a family or you can take the opportunity to have some time without your children. As the programme is very flexible and can be designed to your wishes, you can make up your mind on a daily basis.

After lessons in Trinity School
All lessons take place in the spacious classrooms of Trinity School. Trinity School is a small private boarding school situated on a lush hilltop in a picturesque area overlooking the sea and the lovely streets of Teignmouth centre. Just a 15-minute walk from the centre and the sea, Trinity’s closed campus guarantees a comfortable and secure environment for our young learners.
Our language courses are attended by students and their parents from all over the world and have been designed specifically for language learners who are visiting a foreign country for a short period. Maximum class size for children and parents is 15.
All our teachers are native speakers and qualified in teaching English as a foreign language. Teaching material is provided. You’ll take a placement test upon arrival, which determines your course level. The following levels are catered for (children and parents): elementary (A1), lower intermediate (A2), intermediate (B1), upper intermediate (B2).
At the end of the course, you’ll receive a certificate indicating your language level according to the Common European Framework of Reference Levels.
English Language courses for children
General English Course (for children aged 10-15): 15 lessons (x 45 mins) per week
Lessons normally take place from Monday to Friday between 09:00 and 11:45. Each of the three morning lessons focuses on a specific area of language learning: grammar and language work, reading and listening, or communicative activities and speaking practice. Our aim is to provide you with the vocabulary and grammar required for effective communication and particular attention is paid to improving speaking and listening skills.
Intensive English Course (for children aged 10-15): 20 lessons (x 45 mins) per week
The Intensive Course consists of the General English Course plus an additional lesson per day (11.45 -12.30) in which key areas of language learning are practised in more depth.
Playschool (for children aged 6-9):
Supervised activities in the mornings. This allows you take part in our language courses whilst your children will play with other children of their age and learn some English vocabulary in a playful way.
English Language courses for parents
General English Course I with 15 lessons (x 45 mins) per week

General English Course II with 20 lessons (x 45 mins) per week
Besides the above mentioned 15 lessons, you will get an additional lesson per day (11.45 -12.30) in which key areas of language learning are practised in more depth.
Private 1:1 Lessons or 1:2 lessons: 10 lessons (x 45 mins) per week
The private lessons allow you more time with your teacher to focus on areas of English in your specialised area. You may simply want to study more grammar in more detail with just your teacher’s attention. We can organise a private course around your needs.
Accommodation and Meal Plan
For parents: Bed & Breakfast accommodation in an English guesthouse in a single, double, twin or family room with en-suite toilet and shower facilities. Some of our guesthouses are located close to the school while others are a short bus-ride away.
First option for children: They live together with you in the guesthouse and have breakfast there. Lunch and dinner will be provided on the campus (for children aged 10-15).
Second option for children (10-15 years): Your children are accommodated in multi-bedded rooms (1-4 students) with shared toilet and shower facilities in Trinity School on a full-board basis while you stay in the guesthouse.
Children aged 10 to 15 years always have full-board accommodation included in the price. Adults and children aged 6 to 9 years participating in the Playschool programme have the possibility to have lunch on campus. In this case, you will have to book and pay directly at the Trinity School.
No matter which option you choose, you decide whether you spend the afternoon and evening together with your children or whether your children should join our Activity Programme.
Activity Programme
Children (aged 10-15 years) join the Activity Programme on the Trinity Campus with workshops, sport activities, beach activities, trips, etc. Parents normally organize their days on their own. We organize a welcome reception with campus tour and a pub evening with a designated member of staff giving you the chance to get to know the other parents and to receive valuable tips on what to do during your stay.

English programs Teignmouth - how to get there?
Transfers are not included in the price, but transfers can be provided as an additional service from/to London, Bristol, and Exeter as well as from/to train station St. Pancras. On the day of arrival our Meet & Greet Service will be waiting for you at the exit area of customs and will take you directly to your course centre. On the day of departure, you will leave Teignmouth as required in order to make sure you arrive at the airport in time to check in. Of course, Teignmouth has got its own train and coach station if you want to travel on your own.

Our English programs in Teignmouth are suitable for children aged 10-15. A supervision for younger children (ages 6-9) is available in the mornings (Primary Playground).
Accommodation can also be provided for additional family members, but at least one child and one parent have to attend an English language course.
