With about 630.000 inhabitants, Bordeaux is also one of the biggest cities in France. It is famous not only for its architecture but also for its university and its special cuisine. Of course, for many, Bordeaux is the home of the world’s best wines and you will find plenty of opportunities to sample them in the city’s restaurants and bars.
Bordeaux is an ideal starting point to discover the natural beautiful of the southwest of France. Europe’s biggest pinewood can be found here as well as the highest dune in the world. The Atlantic shore with its fantastic beaches can be reached easily, as can the Pyrenees and Spain. Spend your holiday at our French language school in this traditional destination!

Our school is located in the city centre in a traditional 19th century building. The school has 15 bright, air-conditioned classrooms as well as an internet room and a recreation room.
Our language courses are attended by students from all over the world (average age 25 years) and the maximum class size is 17. All teachers are native speakers and qualified in teaching French as a foreign language. Teaching material is provided. You’ll take a placement test upon arrival, which determines your course level. At the end of the course, you’ll receive a certificate indicating your language level according to the Common European Framework of Reference.
The school offers guided tours, social evenings, wine tastings and trips. Some of the activities are included in the price; others can be booked on arrival for an additional fee.

French Language courses

Bordeaux Discover Bordeaux in the afternoon!

General French Course: 20 lessons (x 45 mins) per week
This course covers grammar, listening, reading and above all communication. The course normally takes place in the morning from 9.30 a.m. to 12.45 p.m., from Monday to Friday.
The following language levels are catered for: elementary (A1), lower intermediate (A2), intermediate (B1), upper intermediate (B2), advanced (C1), and proficiency (C2).

Intensive French Course: 30 lessons (x 45 mins) per week
The course is based on the General Course and recesses certain aspects of the language in the afternoon lessons, which take place from Monday to Thursday.
The following language levels are catered for: elementary (A1), lower intermediate (A2), intermediate (B1), upper intermediate (B2), advanced (C1), and proficiency (C2).

Business French Course: 30 lessons (x 45 mins) per week
The Business French Course consists of the General Course with 10 additional lessons of private tuition per week, taking place in the afternoons from Monday to Friday. This course will help you to get along in the business world, covering business correspondence, reports, presentations, job advertisements etc. The course should be booked for at least one week.

Accommodation

Home stay: You may stay in single rooms with one of our friendly home stay hosts, most of whom have been welcoming students for many years. Some live close to the school while others are a short walk or a bus-ride (max. 30 minutes) away. You’ll get half-board accommodation with breakfast and dinner from Monday to Friday and full-board accommodation at the weekend.

How to get there?

Take the train or coach to Bordeaux or fly into Bordeaux airport. The transfer from/to your home-stay accommodation is already included.

Course start dates

You can start your course every Monday throughout the year except for Public Holidays. If your course starts on a public holiday you will start on the Tuesday. Accommodation is available from the Sunday before your course starts to the Saturday after its completion.

There are no classes on the following public holidays: 5th April, 13th May, 24th May, 14th July, 01st November, 11th November
Christmas Closure: 18th December 2010 to the 3rd January 2011 inclusive.

There are no refunds for classes not taught on public holidays.
Minimum stay is two weeks.
