Denia is a gorgeous place on the Spanish Mediterranean coast between Alicante and Valencia. The small city on the Costa Blanca has an inviting downtown where you may stroll around and marvel at the small shops and weekly markets. From this area, one has an amazing view of the old castle’s majesty, which has served as the birth of many museums. The 20 km long beach that is partially covered in shallow water and rocks is marked by the “Blue flag”, which attests to its high water quality.
On the off–chance that anyone is bored, they are welcome to enjoy an expansive walk on the beach or participate in the athletic and cultural programs; such as hiking in the Berg Montgó, taking a city tour, or visiting one of the many museums. Likewise, the Mediterranean kitchen will see that your taste buds are properly taken care of. Among the many restaurants in Denia, you will also find lots of inexpensive and very tasty “Tapas” or restaurants. Passers –by often find the Cafes and bars to be irresistible, where you will find live music, and no one to talk you out of your extraordinary evening.

Our school is located in the center of downtown Denia, not far from the beach and harbor. It is a very small and homey language school, where each student’s needs are given personal attention. The school is very modern and friendly equipped with air conditioning in every classroom. Additionally, an internet room with is available to you free of cost, a little library, TV and DVD and a drinks machine with hot and cold beverages.
Our language courses are attended by students from all over the world (average age of students about 25 years) and the maximum class size is 8 (10 in the summer). All teachers are native speakers and qualified in teaching Spanish as a foreign language. Teaching material is provided.
You’ll take a placement test upon arrival, which determines your course level. At the end of the course, you’ll receive a certificate indicating your language level according to the Common European Framework of Reference.
Our Spanish school offers free time activities on a regular basis; some of them are already included in the price, others can be booked on arrival for an additional fee.
The school is recognised by Instituto Cervantes and member of FEDELE and some associations in Valencia community. The courses are also accreditet for swedish scholarship CSN!
Spanish language courses
Spanish class in Dénia
General Spanish Course: 20 lessons x 45 minutes per week
This course covers speaking, listening, reading and writing. You will study in the mornings or afternoons depending on student numbers, your level and your personal preference.
The following language levels are catered for: beginners (A0), elementary (A1), lower intermediate (A2), intermediate (B1), upper intermediate (B2), and advanced (C1).
Intensive Spanish Course: 30 lessons x 45 minutes per week
This course combines the General Spanish course (see above) with an add-on of 10 additional lessons a week, where you’ll improve your knowledge of certain aspects of Spanish language and culture.
The following language levels are catered for: beginners (A0), elementary (A1), lower intermediate (A2), intermediate (B1), upper intermediate (B2), and advanced (C1).
Business Spanish Course: 25 lessons x 45 minutes per week
This special course combines the General Spanish course (see above) with an add-on of 5 additional lessons covering economic subjects.
The following language levels are catered for: intermediate (B1), upper intermediate (B2), and advanced (C1).

Accommodation
Home stay: You’ll stay in single rooms with one of our friendly home stay hosts, most of whom have been welcoming students for many years. Some live close to the school while others are a short walk or a bus-ride (max. 15 minutes) away. You get breakfast and dinner in your host-family.
Apartment: You live with other language students from around the world in an apartment. The kitchen and bathroom are shared, including a common room with a TV. You live in a single room, providing for your own meals. You may explore the Spanish world as you wish and embark on your own adventures. Bed linen is provided, you need to bring your own towels. Cleaning is not included, i.e. rooms and common areas are cleaned before arrival and at departure, but not during the stay. The apartments are about 5 min walking distance to school.
How to get there?
We recommend a flight to Valencia or Alicante; both are 100km from Dénia. You may book a transfer with us from Valencia or Alicante to Dénia.

Course start dates
You can start your Spanisch course every Monday throughout the year except for Public Holidays and only if you are not a complete beginner.
Please ask for start dates for complete beginners (twice per months).
If your course starts on a public holiday you will start on the Tuesday. Accommodation is available from the Sunday before your course starts to the Saturday after its completion.
There are no classes on the following public holidays:
19.03., 29.03., 01.04., 01.05., 10.07., 16.08., 09.10., 01.11., 06.12.2013
Classes for the holidays will be recoverd over the week! In the case of a course being affected by two festival days, one of the days will be made up.
Additionally the school will remain closed from 23.12.2013 - 06.01.2014.
Minimum stay is one week.
