Puerto de la Cruz, the sixth biggest town in Tenerife and the centre of the island’s northern coast, has acquired several new green areas making it an even more enjoyable holiday destination. Various natural beaches can be found nearby tempting you to relax and enjoy the sun. You can walk along the coast on the beautiful promenade or discover the town centre strolling through the busy streets. Various shops as well as many restaurants and cafes, provide you with lots of possibilities to spend your free time. The typical Canarian wooden balconies decorating many houses in the centre are always worth seeing.

Your Spanish language school in Tenerife
Lessons take place in bright classrooms.
Our school is located in Puerto de la Cruz, a charming town in the northern coast of Tenerife, which is one of the first Spanish holiday destinations. The school is built in the Canarian style and the beach of Martianez and several other attractions are within easy reach.
The school has seven bright lecture halls as well as teacher rooms, a court, registry, study room, multimedia room, recreation room with TV and stereo, and a library with a wide offer of books and videos.
The school has got several classrooms with modern equipment as well as an internet room where you have free internet access and which you can use for your self-studies. There is also a small library with teaching material, books, newspapers, and games at your disposal.
Our language courses are attended by students from all over the world and have been designed specifically for people who are visiting a foreign country for a short period. The maximum class size is 8. All teachers are native speakers and qualified in teaching Spanish as a foreign language. Teaching material is provided.
You’ll take a placement test upon arrival, which determines your course level. At the end of the course, you’ll receive a certificate indicating your language level according to the Common European Framework of Reference.
In addition to the language course you can attend 5 lectures about Spanish culture in a week. Furthermore, the language school offers free time activities on a regular basis; some of them are already included in the price, others can be booked on arrival for an additional fee.
Spanish Language courses
General Spanish Course: 20 (+5) lessons x 50 minutes per week
This course covers grammar, textual work, listening comprehension and above all communication. The lessons can take place in the morning or in the afternoon. The school offers each day an additional lesson in which you can learn something about Spanish culture and life.
The following language levels are catered for: elementary (A1), lower intermediate (A2), intermediate (B1), upper intermediate (B2), advanced (C1), and proficiency (C2).
Intensive Spanish Course: 30 (+5) lessons x 50 minutes per week
This course combines the General Spanish course (see above) with an add-on of 10 additional lessons a week, where you’ll improve your knowledge of certain aspects of Spanish language and grammar. The school offers each day an additional lesson in which you can learn something about Spanish culture and life.
Required language levels: elementary (A1), lower intermediate (A2), intermediate (B1), upper intermediate (B2), advanced (C1), and proficiency (C2).

Accommodation
Home stay: You’ll stay in single rooms with one of our friendly home stay hosts, most of whom have been welcoming students for many years. Some live close to the school while others are a short walk or a bus-ride (max. 30 minutes) away. You normally get breakfast in your host-family but half-board accommodation (with breakfast and dinner) is also available.
Shared Flat: You may stay in a single room in a self-catering apartment in town. The apartments as well as its toilet and shower facilities and its kitchen are normally shared between fellow students from different countries. Some apartments are close to the school. There is a laundry room to wash your clothes. Free use of W-Lan. At arrival you must pay a deposit about 150 EUR.

Fly into Tenerife airport (North or South). Airport transfers can be provided as an additional service.

Course start dates
You can start your course every Monday throughout the year except for Public Holidays. If your course starts on a public holiday you will start on the Tuesday.
Accommodation is available from the Sunday before your course starts to the Saturday after its completion.
Minimum stay is two weeks.
There are no classes on the following public holidays:
Public holidays 2012: 01.01., 06.01., 02.02., 05.04., 06.04., 08.04., 01.05., 03.05., 30.05., 12.07., 15.08., 12.10., 01.11., 06.12., 08.12., 25.12.2012.
There are no refunds for classes not taught on public holidays.
