Summer French course in Antibes on the French Riviera
Enjoy your summer in Antibes, a beautiful city and a popular holiday destination on the French Riviera. 25 km of coastline with a total of 48 beaches provide you with endless possibilities for surfing and beach activities. With its Mediterranean climate - lots of sunny days and high temperatures all through the summer - this is the perfect spot for your French summer course! The beaches are within easy reach of our residences, centrally located in Antibes and Juan-les-Pins.
Antibes itself has an attractive historic city centre with a maze of small streets. It is also famous for having one of the biggest marinas in Europe, where you can see some of the world’s most expensive luxury yachts.
Spend your holiday in this beautiful city, located in one of the most attractive regions in France and enjoy the activities on offer with pupils from all over the world!
The language school in Antibes
Discover Antibes in the afternoon!
Our language courses are attended by students from all over the world and have been designed specifically for young people, who are visiting a foreign country for a short period. Maximum class size is 15. All teachers are native speakers and qualified in teaching French as a foreign language. Teaching material is provided.
You’ll take a placement test upon arrival, which determines your course level. The following levels are catered for: beginners (A1), lower intermediate (A2), intermediate (B1), upper intermediate (B2), advanced (C1). At the end of the course, you’ll receive a certificate indicating your language level according to the Common European Framework of Reference Levels.
Please note that the lessons don't take place on this bank holidays and aren't caught up later: 15.08.2013. You should also know that there are no lessons on the first day of school as there will be a guided walk through the town and the placement test.
French Language courses
Intensive French Course: 20 lessons (x 45 mins) per week
Lessons normally take place from Monday to Friday between 09:00 and 12:20. The four morning lessons focus on the main areas of language learning: grammar and language work, reading and listening, communicative activities and speaking practice. Our aim is to provide you with the vocabulary and grammar required for effective communication and particular attention is paid to improving speaking and listening skills.
Super-Intensive French Course: 26 lessons (x 45 mins) per week
The Intensive Course consists of the Intensive French Course plus six additional lessons on two afternoons per week (Tuesday and Thursday afternoons from 13.30 -15.45) in which key areas of language learning are practised in more depth.

Accommodation and Meal Plan
Residence: Live and socialise with your fellow students from many different countries in one of our residences!
For our summer courses accommodation will be provided at the Lycée Horticole and Lycée Leonardo da Vinci.
We will make every effort to honour your requests for specific accommodation but can offer no guarantee.
Castel Arabel is only available out of summer. Couleurs soleil can be available as an option only from the 25th of August.
You’ll get full-board accommodation that includes French breakfast, warm lunch and dinner.
Lycée Horticole: You stay in multi-bedded rooms (2-4 beds) with shared toilet and shower facilities on every floor. The residence features gardens, sports facilities (soccer, volleyball), a swimming pool, a cafeteria, TV-rooms and an amphitheatre. Telephones, internet and a launderette are available in the Lycée. There is no safe, but all cupboards can be locked. Meals and lessons also take place in the Lycée. The beach can be reached in about 15 minutes by foot, the centre of Antibes is about 2,5km away. There is a free bus shuttle several times a day.>
Lycée Leonardo da Vinci: You stay in rooms with 3 beds with shared toilet and shower facilities. The residence features a big swimming pool, various sports fields (volleyball, handball, basketball), a cafeteria, a TV-room, public telephones and internet. The Lycée is located about 7 km from the city centre and the beaches and there is a free bus shuttle several times a day.
You can also choose the accommodation in a single room for the residence.
Castel Arabel Medium(only available out of summer): You stay in en-suite twin-bedrooms. The residence is located in the centre of Juan-les-Pins, about 600 metres from the beach. Telephones, internet and a small launderette can be found in the residence. Meals and lessons take place in a school nearby.
Couleur Soleil (only from the 25th of August): You stay in multi-bedded en-suite rooms (4 beds). All rooms are equipped with air-conditioning and a balcony. The residence is located in the centre of Juan-les-Pins, about 70 metres from the beach. Telephones and internet can be found in the residence and a small launderette ist just a 5-minutes-walk away. A safe is available at reception (about 15,- Euros per week).
Meals and lessons take place in a school nearby.
Home stay: You may also stay in single or twin-bedrooms with one of our friendly home stay hosts, most of whom have been welcoming students for many years. The hosts live in Antibes or Juan-les-Pins and it may be necessary to use public transportation, which is not included (max. distance to school: 60 mins walking). You’ll get full-board accommodation with breakfast and dinner in your family and lunch in the school’s refectory.
Activity Programme
Sailing included in the price
A supervised activity programme with e.g. barbecue, sports (tennis, volleyball, sailing…), beach activities and theme nights are included in the price.
Besides this, you will get two half-day excursions and one full-day excursion per fortnight. Possible trip destinations are the Iles de Lerins, Cannes, Nice or Monaco.
There might be additional activities on offer like bowling or laserquest which you can book and pay on the premises.
Supervision and Welfare
Our friendly and helpful team with French staff members will run a fully supervised activity programme and guarantee supervision. Your safety and welfare is our top priority: there is one supervisor responsible for 12 students. The members of our team have been carefully selected for their responsible and caring attitude and for being fun-loving and outgoing. They are the people you can turn to at any time for assistance.
Please note that students under the age of 16 are not allowed to go out unsupervised at night. Students 16+ are allowed to go out unsupervised three times a week.
Airport Transfers
Airport transfers from/to Nice airport or Antibes train station are included in the price (with arrival/departure on the weekend). On the day of arrival our Meet & Greet Service will be waiting for you and will take you directly to your course centre. On the day of departure, you will leave your accommodation as required in order to make sure you arrive at the airport in time to check in.
During the week the transfer has a cost of 50 Euros one way.
