Senior Summer Courses
Great Britain

  • One of England’s most popular student towns
  • Meet students your age
  • Our IP Young Adult Coordinator is available 24/7

Bournemouth is an exciting seaside resort as well as an attractive student town, with visitors and students from all over the world creating a cosmopolitan atmosphere.
It's a busy town with great shopping facilities and live entertainment.
When you walk through the bustling pedestrian precinct of Bournemouth you will find trendy boutiques, CD-shops and bars. The city centre is surrounded by beautiful gardens and just a few minutes away you will find one of Britain's cleanest and most popular sandy beaches.
Our summer English courses in Bournemouth take place at Europa School of English, near the town centre. Our residence and school are within ten minutes walking distance from each other. You enjoy your freedom as well as the safety net of having responsible adults to help you should there be a problem.

Campus

Our language school is located in a former church, built in the 19th Century and was refurbished in 2014. Of course our school offers a lot of comfort: In our refectory you can help yourself to coffee, tea, water and snacks with your new friends. Furthermore you have the possibility to spend your free time on the beach, which is only 5 minutes away or stroll into the town centre, which is just a 15-minute-walk.

Our Bournemouth school, Europa School of English, is located just a few minutes walk from the town centre.
The school is accredited by the British Council for the teaching of English in the UK and is a member of English UK, the world's leading language teaching association.
Please note that the lessons don't take place on bank holidays on the 27.08.2018 and will not be made up.

The following levels are catered for: elementary (A2), pre-intermediate (B1), upper intermediate (B2), advanced (C1). Duration: minimum 2 weeks

Freizeitprogramm

There are five activities per week and 1 full day excursion in two weeks included.
Additional trips can be purchased in the centre.

Surf Course 5 x 1,5 lessons (Supplement)

Bournemouth is ideal for surfing (wave riding). For those of you who want to combine English lessons and the surf experience, we offer this special course with our surf partner in Bournemouth. In the mornings you will attend the General English course with your fellow students.
The surfing course consists of five afternoons with 1,5 hour lessons each. Equipment will be provided. Depending on the weather, tide and the size of the waves the surf lessons might vary. Therefore paddle boarding is offered as an alternative when the weather conditions don’t allow surfing.
This special is not included in the programme and must be booked in advance.

London Overnight (Supplement)

As one day is not enough for a city like London, our overnight trip gives you more time to take in the sights.
On Saturday morning you will get an early breakfast and a packed lunch for the day. You will arrive in London around lunch time (your coach might stop in London Heathrow on the way). Our supervisors will organise several sightseeing and shopping walks for you and you can explore the city during your free time. In the evening you will have a warm meal together with overnighters from our other destinations. We hire exclusively for our students a VIP Party Bus for two hours going around London by night – relax and party with friends from other UK IP centres. The bus will collect everyone at 20.00 at the hostel. Soft drinks will be provided but there are no snacks included. You will spend the night in a youth hostel in shared rooms. The modern hostel has multi-bedded rooms with en-suite toilet and shower facilities (towel not provided). Breakfast on Sunday morning and a packed lunch are provided. You have several more hours to explore London before leaving the city on Sunday afternoon. Once you have returned to your centre, you will get a packed evening meal. Minimum number for the Party Bus is 15 students. In case of less students an alternative programme will be offered.
This special is not included in the programme and must be booked in advance.
