Oberwesel with view from aboveThis last week in Oberwesel has been great! To start with, although Anna remained in hospital until Monday evening, we actually had no one else being ill enough to go to the doctor or to hospital, that’s a first this summer, yay!

ob1On our first day as a group we went into the town to ‘discover Oberwesel’ and had an ice-cream and bought some souvenirs. In the evening we had an awesome and brand new Quiz Night!

On Tuesday we were to have the water games; however, the weather wasn’t warm enough, and we decided to have sports, wellness, dancing and massage instead. It was a lot of fun! In the evening we had the memorable Oberwesel Game, something never to forget!

We spent a wonderful afternoon on Wednesday at the Naturerlebnisbad in Bingen. It’s an awesome place for a sunny warm day, and very cheap! In the evening we relaxed and watched a nice film.

On Thursday we had our very own medieval games. The children competitively tried to gain points in all the different tasks related to medieval myths, sports or traditions. A summer’s evening meant we could enjoy a lovely BBQ and bonfire outside – Stockbrot and campfire songs included.

Our final day on Friday meant preparation for the end of week party – this week we were playing ‘Beat the Team’, children against crew! We decorated the Saal beautifully and prepared a little Schultüte for every child. We also had some sports and a fun water war! At the party we presented all our certificates and gave out prizes to the winners of all our competitions throughout the week, we then enjoyed a tremendously funny game, and played some party music.
This is the end of this very enjoyable and memorable summer!
