GENERAL ENGLISH COURSE
already includedLessons normally take place from Monday to Friday between 09:30 and 13:00 or in the afternoon between 13:45 and 17:00. Each of the four morning lessons focus on a specific area of language learning: grammar and language work, reading and listening, or communicative activities and speaking practice. Our aim is to provide you with the vocabulary and grammar required for effective communication and particular attention is paid to improving speaking, writing and listening skills.
The following levels are catered for: Elementary (A1), Pre-Intermediate (A2), Intermediate (B1), Upper intermediate (B2), Advanced (C1). Duration: minimum 1 week.
INTENSIVE ENGLISH COURSE
available as a supplementThis course is for all those who would like to make the most of their stay. It follows the General English course and has two additional lessons after lunch in which you will deepen what you have learned in the morning lessons. You will develop understanding of grammar and learn to communicate in English in real life situations. Lessons normally take place from Monday to Friday between 09:30 and 13:00 and from 13:45 and 15:15.

GENERAL ENGLISH PLUS IELTS
available as a supplementIf you would like to take the IELTS exam this is the ideal course for you! This course follows the General English course and has two additional lessons after lunch focussing on the preparation for the Academic IELTS examination which is a widely accepted exam if you wish to study or work where English is the language of communication. The course includes IELTS practice papers and sample tests and helps you improve your Academic English. Please note, the exam fee is not included in the price. Lessons normally take place from Monday to Friday between 09:30 and 13:00 and from 13:45 and 15:15.
The following levels are catered for: Intermediate (B1), Upper intermediate (B2), Advanced (C1). Duration: minimum 2 weeks, recommended 4 weeks.

Our IP Young Adult Coordinator is available if any problems arise. Of course, students will be given all the necessary information regarding their stay during the Welcome Meeting. There are three activities per week and a Conversation Club once a week included.

Activities
already includedImprove your English inside and outside the Classroom! Every week our team organises an activity programme for you with about 3 activities. Most of these are free to attend, such as quiz evenings, tournaments, games at school, movie night… Others may run in conjunction with one of our partners, with a maximum of £10, such as bowling, laser tag, mini golf, ice skating, etc.
Conversation Club
already includedOur Conversation Club takes place once a week which is all about socialising with students while improving your English. We will provide you and the other students with a topic (suggestions are always welcome) that we will all discuss together. A couple of challenges will be set and you will be presented with the main vocabulary relevant to the topic.
LANGUAGE WORKSHOPS (2x60 min./week)
available as a supplementIn addition to your course you can book 2 language workshops of 60 minutes each per week. The workshops take place in the afternoon on Mondays and Thursdays from 3:30 to 4:30 pm. The Monday workshop treats productive and receptive skills (we do them on alternate weeks), these skills are reading, listening, writing, speaking and pronunciation. On Thursday it is time for our “Job Club Workshop” which treats topics such as writing CVs, preparing for interviews in English, creating elevator pitches and much more.
The price for 2 workshops per week is £19.00 per person.

Homestay
You stay in a single room with one of our friendly and experienced homestay hosts, most of whom have been welcoming students for many years. Some live close to the campus while others are a bus-ride (on average 30, max. 45 minutes, costs for public transport not included) away. Our host families live in Bournemouth, Poole and Christchurch.You can purchase bus passes (Yellow busses) at our school. Weekly bus passes cost approx. £20.
During your stay you will learn something about the everyday life of a British family. You will get full board accommodation (breakfast and dinner and a packed lunch). Vegetarian food available. All other special diets or food allergies on request only. Halal and kosher food is not available. Please advise at least 4 weeks prior arrival about any special diet.

Our school, which is located in the magnificent building of an ancient church, is not only in walking distance to the beach and busy city centre, but offers also all the comfort you need during your summer language holidays: a bistro, spacious and modern classroom, free wi-fi, a student lounge… Take part in our exciting activity programme in the afternoon or improve your surfing skills during a surf course in the afternoon. In the evenings dive into our international atmosphere during one of our fun evening events.How to get to Bournemouth
Our Young Adult Courses are only available with self-arranged travel. Transfers are not included in the price, but transfers can be provided as an additional service from/to London Heathrow or Gatwick. For all other airports please do not hesitate to contact us.
Self-arranged journey
You can choose a Self-arranged Journey from the airport in the UK to our centre in Bournemouth. If you are 16 or 17 years old this requires you to be accompanied by your parent(s) or a Guardian from the airport to Bournemouth or from Bournemouth to the airport.
Individual transfers
In case you can’t meet the required times for the Low Budget Transfer we are happy to organise Individual Transfers for you from/to London Heathrow or Gatwick with well-known taxi and transfer companies with DBS checked drivers. We offer a one-way service to the centre and /or a return service to the airport for a flat rate. On the day of arrival our Meet & Greet Service will be waiting for you at the exit area of customs and will, if not requested otherwise, take you directly to our school in Bournemouth, where students will either be picked up by their hosts or walk to the residence.
On the day of departure, you will leave Bournemouth as required in order to make sure you arrive at the airport in time. For your own safety, we will assist you with the check-in for your flight.
Out-of-hours arrivals/departures: you will in most cases be taken/picked up directly to/from the homestay or the residence. Please note that host family student arrivals/departures between 6:00 and 22:00 will be collected by their hosts at the school and dropped off by their hosts there. For very early/late arrivals/departures in/from the centre (24.00-6.00), an alternative accommodation needs to be arranged.
