In times of school closures and having to stay at home we have the perfect online English course for you which allows you to meet and learn virtually with international students.
The online course consists of 24 lessons of 60 minutes each in two weeks (before and after Easter). Our native English teachers working for our English Language School in Bournemouth will teach you in video chats online. Our language school is British Council accredited and member of English UK.
At the end of the course you will get a certificate, unfortunately without the festive ceremony
The course takes place from 06. to 09.04. and from 14. to 17.04.2020 with lessons from 10:00 to 13:30 (breaks included).
General English course
Each of the three lessons focuses on a specific area of language learning: grammar and language work, reading and listening, or communicative activities and speaking practice. Our aim is to provide you with the vocabulary and grammar required for effective communication. Our teacher will invite you to a video chat with maximum 10 participants. Bevor the start you will do an online placement test so that we can put you in a group according to your level.
The following levels are catered for: beginner (A1), elementary (A2), pre-intermediate (B1), upper intermediate (B2).
Set your alarm
We know that staying in bed until lunch time is a great thing to do when there is no school. But even if you do not physically have to go to school, set your alarm early enough to have a nice breakfast to be ready for your English course. After learning so much in the mornings, a nap after the lessons will feel even better than staying in bed super long.
Your work space
Preparation is everything: Make sure you have everything prepared before the lessons start. Charge your laptop or put the charger close to you, have your teaching materials, a pen and paper ready, get your head phones if you’d rather use head phones and get something to drink for the lessons.
Get active during the breaks
Use the breaks to move a little, have a little snack and get some fresh energy for the next lesson. You will have 3 lessons of 1 hour each every morning. Between the lessons there is a break of 15 minutes.
Try to focus on the English Course and nothing else. Do not check other things on your computer during the lessons and even if it might be difficult put your phone away during the lessons. You can check it during the breaks and the rest of the day.
