Our Supervision Concept
Our trained International Team runs a partly-supervised activity programme, ensuring safety and fun based on student age and parental consent. Supervision is divided into age groups with specific ratios to provide appropriate care and oversight.
13 to 15 year olds
Our supervision ratio is 1:15. The activity programme is partly mandatory. Students may “sign out” twice a week to explore the city in pairs or groups, with parental consent. A town walk with free time is offered every afternoon, providing a good blend of independent exploration and supervisions. Students of this age are expected to navigate the campus for meals and classes independently but are not allowed to stay in their rooms during the daytime. Our supervisors are always available to give help and advice when needed.
16 to 17 year olds
Our supervision ratio is 1:20. The activity programme is optional in the afternoons. Students at that age have the freedom to explore tin pairs or groups and can sign out after dinner for two evenings per week. We also offer some special supervised activities aimed at this age group. Some off campus activities may have a small fee, but not more than £20 per activity. Students are not allowed to leave the campus on their own (only in pairs or more), and they have to inform their supervisor prior to sign out.
Time to Talk
You will be part of a TTT (Time to Talk) group of up to 25 students. In the lunchtime TTT you tell your supervisor what you want to do in the afternoon and the supervisor will put you in the respective sign-up list which will be checked when the programme starts. The same happens at the dinner time TTT for the evening event.
