Our Supervision Concept
You will be in a TTT group with students from the same age group. During that time, your supervisor will make sure you are signed up for one of our exciting activities in our App so that later on we make sure you have attended. Daily checks include: wake-up, breakfast, class check, lunch, TTT, activities, dinner, night-check.The cornerstone of this programme are the daily „Time to Talk“ meetings.
Our staff ratio on campus for the age group 10-12 years is 1:10, however supervision groups during activities on or off campus will have different ratios of up to 15 students for 10-12 years old depending on the situation.
10 to 12 year olds
Our youngest students are supervised more thoroughly by specially trained staff. The activity programme is mandatory for you and your supervisors will ensure that you take part in the offered activities. You are not allowed to leave the campus without supervision, but we will offer town walks most days. It is not possible for your parents to give you permission to leave the campus without supervision.
Tiverton is also available for teenager aged 13 to 17. Click here for more details.
Time to Talk
You will be in separate TTT (Time to Talk) groups of up to 15 children per group. In the lunchtime TTT you tell your supervisor what you want to do in the afternoon and the supervisor will put you in the respective sign-up list which will be checked when the programme starts. The same happens at the dinner time TTT for the evening event.
Blundell's Boarding School in Tiverton
Improve your language skills while being surrounded by international students Tiverton is the largest town in mid Devon and has a small but busy shopping centre. The imposing structure of the parish church dedicated to St. Peter dates from the 15th century and reflects the prosperity brought to the town by the wool trade. It has about 18,000 inhabitants. It is best known for John Heathcoat, who set up his textile mill there in the 19th century with just a few woollen frames; business flourished and he built nearby Knighthayes Court as his manor house - now a National Trust and open to visitors. Tiverton Castle is in the town centre. Our Campus is around 100-acres in the Devon hills, our Students live, sleep, attend lessons, and participate in fun activities on the Blundell's Campus. This is a place where children thrive, and where they become ready to contribute to a world desperately in need of thoughtful, courageous, and compassionate leaders. This is a place where they will learn about themselves, where they have the opportunity to practise and rehearse the skills that they will need to live fulfilling lives, both now and in the future.
